BEACH FLORA

I'm always amazed at the beautiful flowers that bloom in the sterile white sand at the beach, surviving lack of rain, brutal sun and ocean winds. But survive they do and add delicate beauty to an already lovely landscape.

  1. I've never heard of beach purslane, but you're right, very pretty; kind of lace-like patterns in the sand.

  3. beautiful beach. I found you on MedaM. we are 40 miles below Tampa, so we have the same birds and views you do, and you are right. we don't live on the water so i don't get many sunsets/sunrise, have a few. at least where you are you get some cold weather and seasons, here we don't have much change. except for last year that was the coldest we have seen in 30 years here.
