WHAT DOES MY GARDEN GROW

"The day is coming when a single carrot freshly observed will set off a revolution."
 ~Paul Cezzane (1839-1906)

I don't know about a revolution, but my first crop of carrots were a cause of much excitement at the homestead. While I was taking a short hiatus from blogging, my garden was busily making carrots. My venue has always been a flower garden and my husband's the vegetable garden. But this year I am trying my hand a veggies, and carrots and swiss chard are my very first crops. I can't wait to start planting herbs and summer vegetables. Though I tried tomatoes last summer and the results were less than stellar. But look at my carrots!

  2. They're gorgeous! I'm so jealous! I have never been able to grow carrots, try as I might. Keep up the veggie gardening, you're doing a great job.
