SAY IT AIN'T SO!

Don't knock the weather. If it didn't change once in a while, nine out of ten people couldn't start a conversation. ~Kin Hubbar

Today's headline says it all. We and the rest of the south are experiencing subfreezing temperatures and the possibility of snow on Friday. While it sounds shiveringly awful, the silver lining is that this is a temporary aberration. Our frosty temperatures will not hang around for very long, but will probably be a memory by next week...right?

"There's no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing." ~Alfred Wainwright

We left the outside faucet dripping last night to prevent the pipes from freezing. The wind obviously blew the water onto the azaleas and this morning they were wearing a coat of ice.

  1. It'll be warm again before you know it. We forgot to leave our outside faucet running and so our pipes froze. No water this morning. They didn't thaw out until around 8:30.

    Stay warm,

  2. I hope all is well with you and yours. We're still in one piece but Friday is still on the horizon so let's all bundle up! Mostly I hope it doesn't rain on Thursday. That will make for icy roads and we can all live without that. Yikes!

  3. I like the coat of ice. It sounds nice too!
It's chaos here again, snow paralysing traffic and here's me trying to get to and from work and to the dentist's in altogether another town!

Make the most of the cold weather, it's nice for photos and keep warm!

  4. Picturesque, but can be devastating economically. And hard on fragile bones.
