Two Rhode Island transplants have settled here in Northwest Florida on Escambia Bay. In Rhode Island, we spent most of our summers and fall days sailing the waters of Narragansett Bay, Block Island Sound and Buzzards Bay. We are so delighted to have found another Bay to enjoy.

SITTING ON THE DOCK OF THE BAY: Weekend Reflections #3
If there is magic on the planet, it is contained in the water.
By way of ChefKar, by way of Laura in Paris... so happy to have discovered your blog and all your beautiful photos. Milton! while doing my genealogy several years ago, I found an aunt in Milton.
Nice to make your acquaintance! This photo is almost the same scene of the painting I am presently working on. It was begun one morning on our property in Milton. I thought it too blue, threw in an awesome sunset I shot recently, then yesterday I lightened and cooled the sky back down. Interesting- yours has both!
Magnificent, this landscape is so romantic!

Golly, that is gorgeous! Yes, yes the warmth of that splash of gold.
ReplyDeleteBut for me, the pleasure is mostly in the vertical lines and that major horizontal line.
Add to that the waves of the reflections ... perfectimundo.
Gorgeous! Great reflections, I admire your ability to not be mesmerized by that beautiful sunset and get the reflection shot! Kathy
