HOW MY GARDEN GROWS

"Gardening is cheaper than therapy and you get tomatoes."

[ot in my case, peppers]

A small glimpse into the garden.

  1. Not to bring up a sore subject but are these post flooding? Either way they're all just lovely and they're by your own hand. I know exactly what you mean about gardening being therapeutic, we've spent so much time planting and landscaping and suddenly, just this year, the yard is more than a yard, it's a sanctuary and welcome place to spend time. I can't say that I'm an especially talented gardener but it makes me happy to engage in it all the same.

  2. Paula, these are the survivors. Knockout roses seem to be able to take whatever Mother Nature dishes out. Most of my veggies didn't do as well. But this little pepper and one other are still producing. The yard with all of its deficiencies is still my favorite place to hang. Most afternoons you can find me on the swing under the house with Dakota as soon as the breeze kicks in.

  5. These are beautiful! Love the quite, too! (You may see it again one day... Have been planning to use it, if our tomatoes keep going as they have been!)

  6. I haven't had the patience to do much, and our yard shows it. This year, finally, I started doing a little--just a little at a time. Even that makes a difference. We will have something, eventually, that we can enjoy. But I hate to wait for it! I do not have the "nature" of a gardener.
