SURPRISE VISITOR

"Surprise is the greatest gift which life can grant us." ~Boris Pasternak

Yesterday morning as I was rushing out of the house for a Physical Therapy session, I looked out onto the water and saw a flock of sea birds--pelicans, gulls, and cormorants. But upon closer inspection I noticed that several of the pelicans where white pelicans. Here it is common to see brown pelicans, but this is the first time I have seen so many white pelicans this far north. I wonder were they lost? or just visiting relatives?
Needless to say, I had to rush back into the house for
my camera and quickly snap some photos before they flew away. Also needless to say, I was late for my PT session because after I shot my pictures, I just hung out and watched until the last one flew or swam away.

  3. Pelicans look like characters in a children's book. Like they have something wise to say. Second from last, love that one.

  4. Nice catch, BL. I don''t know if I would have noticed the difference. Now I'll have to read up on them. I love the sunset in the earlier post, you're so lucky to have that view.
