Two Rhode Island transplants have settled here in Northwest Florida on Escambia Bay. In Rhode Island, we spent most of our summers and fall days sailing the waters of Narragansett Bay, Block Island Sound and Buzzards Bay. We are so delighted to have found another Bay to enjoy.
Oh how lovely, you have finches!! I can never tell the difference between house finches and purple finches, but I know that house finches are not as common down here. At least that's what I think is right. At any rate, lovely photos. I've got flocks of chipping sparrows here, along with some goldfinches and the usual cardinals, bluejays, chickadees and titmice. I also have a resident ruby crown kinglet that I'm loving to watch.
Charming. They're just charming. Gotta get me one of these.
