I took a photography class at The Zoo Northwest Florida and as part of our instruction we were given a tour of certain areas of the Zoo in order to photograph some of the animals. Unfortunately, I had the wrong lens to do the assignments for this class, but I had a wonderful time just the same snapping the various animals we had access to.
A Great Blue Heron. Took this picture from a boardwalk above the heron and wasn't aware of the two shadows until I downloaded the picture.
The water below the boardwalk was filled with turtles. This little fellow had just surfaced when I spotted him.
No head in the sand for this lovely ostrich. He was as curious about us as we were about him.
